Key Requirements

• MG Master Technician status or equivalent manufacturer-accredited qualification – essential
• Level 3 Automotive qualification or equivalent
• Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical and electronic fault-finding
• Previous experience within a franchised dealership or professional automotive workshop
• Confident using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
• Valid UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality repairs and accurate diagnostics
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to support and work effectively with the wider workshop team
• Hybrid and electric vehicle experience is advantageous

About the Role

Leominster Motors is looking for an experienced MG Master Technician, or a technician with an equivalent manufacturer-accredited qualification, to join our franchised dealership team in Leominster.

We represent MG, Mazda, Peugeot and Ford, offering an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled automotive technician to develop their career within a professional dealership environment.

As a MG Master Technician, you will be responsible for advanced diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs, working to manufacturer standards and using the latest diagnostic equipment and technical information.

You will also provide technical support to other workshop technicians and play an important role in ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and to a consistently high standard.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Saturday: 8:30am – 12:30pm, one Saturday in three
• Saturday mornings paid at time and a half

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer standards and specifications.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment, technical information and approved repair procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other workshop technicians.
• Carry out thorough quality checks on completed work.
• Ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate job cards, diagnostic reports and service records.
• Follow all company, health and safety and manufacturer procedures.
• Keep technical knowledge, qualifications and manufacturer training up to date.
• Maintain a clean, safe and professional workshop environment.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and contribute to an excellent customer experience.

About You

You will be an experienced automotive technician with strong diagnostic and technical skills and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship.

Most importantly, you will hold MG Master Technician status or an equivalent manufacturer-accredited qualification, alongside a recognised Level 3 automotive qualification or equivalent.
